In the beginning. Tu is the god of war. Rongo is god of agriculture. Tanemahuta is god of the forest. Tawhirimatea is god of wind. Tangaroa is the god of the sea. Haumia is god of food. They get cramped in between their parents Ranginui and Papatuanuku. They tried to push their parents apart but they couldn't, so Tanemahuta strethched out his legs and pushed.
